Every college organizes the annual sports day or Integration Cup. It has great importance in the life of a student. Along with great fun, it is also a good learning experience. Apart from games and sports, students learn to have a sporting spirit also. It is quite evident that every game will have losers and winners. While winners get motivated to work even harder, losers learn to take defeat in the right spirit. Thus, having a sports day in school is the event that everybody looks forward to. Sports day is also important as it instigates the significance of physical exercise in the student. It is important for a child to play some sport. Playing a sport regularly keeps children fit forever. Physical activities also increase metabolic activities which are good for our health. The date of the annual sports day is announced much in advance for students to have ample time to practice. There are various games that are played and several events take place.
Every Year, LISAA school of Design organizes its annual sports day-INTEGRATION CUP. The preparations for this day started weeks before. Most students gave their names for different events. Practices went on in full swing. Students, who did not participate in any events, got other duties such as making relevant charts, making lists of games and participants, etc.
The grounds were also very particularly laid down; white chalk powder lines were drawn for different events. Victory stands were beautifully decorated to make the victors feel proud of being thereafter the events.
Few events happened before the sports day such as volleyball, football, tennis, and badminton tournaments. Finally, on the annual sports day, students came smartly dressed in white with white sports shoes. The Director and Principal spoke on the importance of sports and sports day and declared the opening of the function. Then the events started.
Parents and guardians of the children were also invited to encourage all participants. one at a time the events took place in a well-disciplined manner. Various events such as races, short-put, discus throw, gymnastics, pyramids, long and high jumps, Football, Cricket, etc happened one after another. It was a pleasure to see students perform with great energy and enthusiasm.
The winners were listed and made to stand on the victory stand and cheered by one and all. the games and sports last for concerning three hours and so come the foremost interesting part of the function – the moment of appreciating the winners by awarding those gifts and prizes, cups and shields.

The much-awaited Annual Sports Day “Integration Day” is usually held in September, with great zeal, excitement, and a frolicsome atmosphere. The program begins with the Management welcoming the esteemed gathering and emphasis on the importance of sports in a student’s life.
The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the energy being administered by the team coordinators. Once the sports began, the air fills with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young participants.
Apart from the “Integration Cup”, there are also Education Trips organized.
Students of all batches take part in sports events including cricket, soccer, etc. Fun time with staff activities adds to the enjoyment.
